WHAT IS A PERSONAL TRAINER?
A Personal Trainer is a person who has the skills and accreditation to guide a person to achieve their fitness goals.

WHAT CAN A PERSONAL TRAINER DO FOR ME?
The trainer can help you achieve a higher level of wellbeing and fitness by applying their knowledge and guidance. They will develop an exercise program and will lead (sometimes push) you through it. The program is designed specifically for you. Results are always much better with the guidance of a Personal Trainer.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER ENLISTINGĀ  A PERSONAL TRAINER
Any person interested in improving their fitness level. This includes:
People just starting to exercise for the first time all the way through high achieving sportspeople.
Those needing to control their weight.
Regular gym-goers who have plateaued and are unable to move forward or are stuck in their usual routine.
People who need to undergo physical rehabilitation
Anyone who is interested in self-improvement or who wants to improve their confidence.

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED WITH THE PERSONAL TRAINER?
The Personal Trainer will consult (FREE of charge) with you to explore your needs. They will determine what you can achieve and will suggest a program that suits you best. At the Nanaimo Athletic Club we insist that our trainers limit your sessions to only what is really necessary. When it is going well you will know how much you need.

IS A PERSONAL TRAINER ONLY FOR THE RICH?
A Personal Trainer is not as costly as you think. There are numerous options that can make it even more affordable if you really need. You can train in a small group, and it can be financed.

WILL I BE TRAINED IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY ELSE?
At Nanaimo Athletic Club you can train in the general area, or you can request to be trained in our fully equipped, private Personal Training Studio. Just you and the trainer in the Studio. You choose where; just tell the trainer your preference when you sign up.

HOW DO I CONTACT A PERSONAL TRAINER?
Easy. Just ask at reception. They will book your complimentary consultation with the trainer that is likely to be the best fit for you. Please do not approach the trainer while they are training someone else.
